The bake-a-thon

For Ma's 50th Birthday party, I put myself in charge of the cake department, and despite my injury I stayed true to my word, and produced far too many cakes, including, blackberry jam melting moments and white chocolate and chamomile cupcakes (both of which I've made a few times) but also, neenish tarts, chocolate and raspberry cupcakes and madeira cupcakes!

For the production of this sweet banquet I used around five sticks of butter, which left my kitchenette and my apron smelly buttery for quite some time. I dressed the cakes with dried baby roses and chamomile flowers, and of course numerous tones of pastel hued frostings.
