Anya Gallaccio

Gotta love first day back art theory lectures, although for the most part I found this one rather uninspiring, there was a little contemporary love that did allow me to breath a little sigh of relief!

Gallaccio is a Scottish artist who seems to work in organic matter- reconstructing and interupting generally stale (stale as in white and muted, not boring) museum/gallery spaces with overwhelmingly natural structures, including the gigantic tree trunks, roots, dirt and all, which caught my eye.
