- My name is Clara-Emily McKay,I'm undertaking my final year of a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Fine Arts) at the University of Ballarat. Throughout my practice I have explored mediums including photography, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, hand-crafts, performance and written word in order to facilitate the construction of a dialogue concerning perception of selves and self-segregation; whilst simultaneously intending to convey works pertaining to the feminine, notions of ‘love’ within modernity and the preservation of memories. Here I intend to show my practice, development and product, whilst acknowledging all of those tiny, seemingly insignificant occurrences that inevitably influence the latter. Enjoy! xx
Beautful work, both the writing which is evocative and the artwork which is personal, yet inclusive. My favourite pieces where the leadlight homage, the nude photographs which give me such joy, to see one so at peace with their body. A joy to look at indeed.
